July 10–11, 2023 | Paris, France

The 8th International Conference on Physiotherapy, Physical Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine was held on 10–11 July 2023 in Paris, France, bringing together researchers, clinicians, academic faculty and applied practitioners from multiple regions to disseminate current findings and discuss methodological and translational advancements in the fields of physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences.

Day 1 (Onsite – July 10, 2023)
The scientific sessions commenced with a keynote forum featuring Iwona Kasior (Howard University, USA) and MaryEllen Axner (Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions / Kinetic Institute Physical Therapy, USA), both of whom addressed emerging frameworks in physical therapy practice and health-professional education. The program further included a structured workshop delivered by Dr. Silverio Di Rocca (MPR International School, Switzerland) focusing on advanced manual and rehabilitative approaches.

The conference agenda was organized across seven thematic tracks: Physical Therapy Science; Sports & Physiotherapy; Physiotherapy Methods and Instrumentation; Experimental Techniques in Physiotherapies; Physiotherapy in Treatment & Care; Advancement in Physiotherapy; and Physical Education & Sports for All. Oral contributions on Day 1 reflected multidisciplinary participation from institutions and clinical centers across India, Taiwan, Brazil, Serbia, UAE, USA, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Argentina and the UK.

Day 2 (Virtual – July 11, 2023 | GMT+2)
Day 2 sessions were held in virtual mode to enable international participation across time zones. Presentations were delivered by academic researchers, educators and physiotherapy professionals from India, France, Saudi Arabia, the UK, Canada, North Macedonia and other regions, addressing domains such as rehabilitation technologies, sports physiotherapy performance science, neuro-motor control, public health–based physiotherapy interventions and applied clinical practice in hospital and community settings.

The virtual program included contributions from institutions such as the Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (India), Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy (India), MIT University Skopje (North Macedonia), King Saud University Medical City (Saudi Arabia), the University of Birmingham (UK), and private practices and technology-driven rehabilitation organizations internationally.

Conclusion and Future Directions
The two-day meeting enabled dissemination of current scientific evidence, exchange of practice-oriented innovations, and identification of future research directions in physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation sciences. The Hybrid (Onsite + Virtual) format facilitated maximized participation and continuity of academic discourse across geographic constraints.

Workshop presentation: Workshop lectures are engaging talks based on skills that can last up to 60 minutes. Workshops must be engaging and include practical information that can be brought back to their communities by participants.

Virtual presentation: If you are unable to attend the conference, but still wish to have your paper presented and published, we offer on-line presentation. Your presentation will be uploaded on the conference website prior to the conference. You are still required to submit an abstract and one author must pay the registration fee.
